Case Report: Right atrial mass – A very rare presentation of endometrial cancer metastasis

Abstract Background We report a case of 47-year-old woman with right atrial metastasis endometrioid adenocarcinoma, which is an uncommon clinical presentation for patients endometrial cancer (EC). The principal aim this to demonstrate the possibility distant metastasis, something rarely encountered among group patients. Case Summary Our patient, diagnosed EC, and receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy after surgery, was found have enhanced 18-FDG (Fluorodeoxyglucose) uptake inside atrium on repeat PET-CT (positron emission tomography computed tomography) scan at 9th month initial diagnosis. Following transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging showed hyper-vascular mass lateral wall involvement likely be malignant in nature. A tumor successfully removed by cardiovascular surgeons, pericardial patch placed site excised atrium. pathological examination EC metastasis. systemic treatment planned recurrent EC. patient had uneventful recovery surgery.
